What Makes Chiropractic Stand Out?
By now you may recognize that chiropractic treatment is definitely different from medical treatment. This distinction goes further beyond coming in for reoccurring visits.
At a chiropractors office, the main focus remains on the integrity of your nervous system. How does a chiropractor do this? By seeing you for regular chiropractic adjustments!
Seeing the Person
While drugs and medicine is focused on the issue in the person, chiropractic treatment is focused on the person with the issue.
Another difference? Chiropractic treatment doesn’t treat your symptoms.
It’s true that patients with symptoms, such as back pain, headaches, etc, report that their symptoms disappear or lessen with chiropractic treatment. Which is always an added bonus, however this is not the intention of chiropractic care.
Instead, a chiropractors objective is remove the underlying reason behind your symptoms. Once the cause of the symptoms is removed (vertebral subluxation), your body does not have to sound its ‘alarm bells’. These bells can manifest into back pain, neck pain, headaches, or any other type of pain you may feel.
That’s an enormous difference.
This difference has allowed chiropractic treatment to thrive beside medicine and drugs as a separate and distinct healing art.
No one wants to live in a world devoid of medical doctors, necessary medicine or surgery, and you most likely don’t either. However, medicine and drugs have its own purpose, intent and outcome. Chiropractic has its own purpose as well, that’s why they are so different.
If it has been a while since your last chiropractic adjustment, we would love to see you for a routine checkup.
